Training / Courses

We provide training from both BSAC and SAA.
BSAC is the governing body for SCUBA diving in the UK, the world’s oldest and largest diving club, it has Branches throughout the world. Its reputation ensures its qualifications are internationally recognised.

SAA is a confederation of independent dive clubs, it represents CMAS in the UK.
CMAS is recognised throughout the world. This means SAA qualifications also have international recognition.

Our instructors give their time free of charge, you only have to cover the cost of training materials dives etc.

We can teach you to snorkel or dive  so you receive a  BSAC, SAA, or CMAS qualification.

The diving qualifications are roughly the same with BSAC, SAA, or CMAS.

The first qualification lets you dive to 20 meters, and gives basic rescue skills.

The second is to 35 metres but you don't have to dive that deep unless you want to.
It gives more rescue skills, along with better underwater navigation and other skills so you are more independent.

The third is to 50m, again its up to you if you prefer not to go as deep.
It lets you supervise other divers including divers being trained by an instructor.

The fourth level lets you organise complex dives and explore knew sites. A lot of clubs do not have instructors that can teach to this level.

Naturally we can teach you to use a dry suit, and rescue skills are built into the above training.
If you enjoy it we include diving at night, wreck diving, reef diving, boat diving, or most other types of dives in your training, or as part of developing you as a diver after you have qualified.

We can teach technical skills such as
- Use of twin sets

- Use of nitrox
- Use of rich mixtures to speed up decompression.
- How to use a compressor
- Nitrox and Trimix blending
- We can also teach boat handling

Want to be an instructor?
We have an instructor trainer who can help you become an instructor for most of the qualifications given above.

Regional courses

Courses are offered from BSAC and SAA to cover almost any diving related skill that we might not teach, once you join our club you can also attend these regional courses run outside of the club.
